Directors' Bio
Ciro Antonio Martinez is a San Francisco native. His family is from El Salvador
and he grew up listening to old-school Latin music and ranchera from his dad.
He has an athletic background that include collegiate, Greco-Roman wrestling, and judo. He was an assistant wrestling coach at Skyline College in San Bruno and Riordan High School in San Francisco.
He stays busy as a dance instructor and currently as a coach for Salsamania, 3rd Place World Salsa Championships, Team Division.

Mary Ann Martinez
Mary Ann Martinez was born and raised in the Philippines. She started dancing
at a young age and studied Polynesian, modern, ballet, and jazz dance. She became interested in adagio dancing in 1987 and became partners with Ciro to choreograph and perform at local dance shows.
She works as an Occupational and a Certified Hand Therapist. She specializes
in treating hand injuries but also works with stroke and various orthopedic conditions. Mary Ann is a certified practitioner of Active Release Technique of the Spine, Lower, Upper Extremities, and Biomechanics. She has helped dancers and non-dancer alike to recover from various injuries.
